The application deadline for online workshops is April 2nd 2024 (we still have some spots available).

Slovenian version: Prijave na teden preiskovalnega novinarstva

As an early celebration of our 10th anniversary, we are launching Investigative Journalism Week, which will give participants a rare opportunity to participate in free online workshops with the top professionals and educators in the field.

We are organizing workshops for journalists, journalism students, and NGO researchers. The working language will be English, so proficiency is needed. Our workshops are open to all participants worldwide who can join us live in our time zone (sessions will not be recorded).

INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM WEEK. Online workshops. From 8th to 12th April 2024, every day from 5 pm to 7 pm (CET).

DAY 1: Taja Topolovec: Evidence-based journalism

DAY 2: Mark Lee Hunter and Drs. Luuk Sengers: Working with an investigative hypothesis and master files

DAY 3: Mark Lee Hunter and Drs. Luuk Sengers: Working with sources – Investigative interview lab

DAY 4: Susanne Reber: Narrative – How to tell a good story

DAY 5: Taja Topolovec: How to apply new methodologies to your work?

How can you apply? Send an email to taja@podcrto.si, including your contact information and confirmation that you will be able to attend all the workshops as planned. We want to know more about you, so please include a short introduction and answer the questions: “Why would you want to attend Investigative Journalism Week, and how do you plan to use new know-how?” The application deadline is now April 2nd 2024 (we still have some spots available).

Due to the organization of the workshops, the total number of participants is limited to 25 (we are reserving five spots for students). The organizer will make the final selection of participants based on the applications received. We will confirm your participation in the workshops until April 2nd.

Since we are celebrating our tenth anniversary, there is no fee for participants in Investigative Journalism Week.
